On Sunday, May 8, 2022, on the third Sunday of the Great Feast of the Resurrection of the Savior, at the community of the "Holy Resurrection" Monastery in St. Nazianz, Wi, took place an event of great joy, both for the monks and for “St. George” Eparchy from Canton OH, as well. The joy was also shared by numerous participants, arriving from several states. The event was the ordination to the Holy Priesthood of Hierodeacon Seoirse (Tomás Murray). The ordination was performed during the solemn Pontifical liturgy, by His Grace, Most Reverend John Michael Botean, Bishop of the Romanian Catholic Eparchy of “Sf. George the Martyr”, for the Romanians, of the USA and Canada, assisted by the Abbot of the Monastery, Nicholas (Zachariades), Father Maximos Davies and Father Ronald Hilt. In his sermon, based on the readings of the Apostle and the Gospel of the Day, Most Reverend John Michael Botean made a call to the Union, urging all the believers, but especially the newly ordained, to be servants of solidarity, by word and deed, and he urged Father Seorise to fulfill his mission, his duty, proclaiming the faith with strength, without any hesitation. The event was held at “St. Gregory” Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. We also thank Father William Brunner, as well as the whole parish, for their hospitality and help. The answers to the Holy Liturgy were provided at a high level by a choir trained by Father Maximos Davies, constituted of the monks from the monastery, from the believers from St. Nazianz and guests from Milwaukee WI, magically contributing to the introduction into the magical world of the event. Among the participants at the Holy Liturgy were nuns from the "Jesus the Bridegroom" Monastery in Burton OH, brothers from "Holy Protection Skete" in Keweenaw MI, believers from Canton OH, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, as well as parishioners from “St. Gregory” Parish in St. Nazianz, WI. We wish Father Seorise many years of service, in Lord’s Grace! He is worthy, Axios, ἄξιος!
